Hi, I’m Sophia! I am an Industrial Designer currently working in the automotive industry as an Interior CAD Designer at Fat Fender Garage in Gilbert, Arizona. Using 3D scanning, CAD modeling, prototyping, and collaboration with in-house upholsters, I have developed multiple products for classic Chevy and Ford truck interiors. Ergonomics, aesthetics, and brand language guide me through the design process and have allowed me to create both shopping products and one-of-a-kind interiors.
I have a degree from Arizona State University in Industrial Design and minor in Technological Entrepreneurship and Management. Previous to my current position, I spent two years at Legacy EV in Gilbert, Arizona as Industrial Design Engineer, designing EV systems and components for gas to electric car conversions.
In my spare time I often find myself still creating whether it be through digital and film photography or crocheting clothing. I also love to go hiking, biking, swimming, and being outside as much as possible.
